Blind for love

The other day my youngest taught us yet another lesson. Actually it all started the previous week while he with his brother and their dad were looking for aquarium and fish we had long time ago. On one of the sites, they saw a crab for tank. And guess what? Of course the boys wanted to have their own crab. Starting from that moment the youngest had been asking us constantly when we were going to get him his own crab.

After a while my husband was tired of incessant question of the youngest. So, when one day the youngest brought to him some money from his collection of foreign coins. He said to dad: “Now are you going to buy me a crab?” However, dad being in the middle of something (and of course, something important to him) got a bit sidetracked and impatiently told the boy that it was not the time for the discussion. And at the same time, our boy was explaining that his has more coins thinking that his dad told him he had insufficient money. Stepping into the room and seeing the whole scene, I said to dad to concentrate on the boy because he was sweet and smart to think that he could help his dad with his own money. Only then, dad saw the love our youngest showed us.

And the morale of the story is that so many times we are busy thinking that what we are doing is more important and miss the small gestures love shows us.
